I made a decision late last year that 2019 was going to be a big year for reading. I didn’t do so well in 2018 but I blame the fact that I moved house twice, and just didn’t have the space or the time for books.
So I decided that in 2019 I was going to set a modest target of 50 books. I hope to read far more than that, but 50 seems realistic, and I would be happy to read that many this year. I have a challenge set over on Goodreads that helps me to keep track of how many books I’ve read, and keeps me on schedule.
But to add a little more incentive this year, I’ve decided that for every book I finish, I’m going to put 2 euro into a jar. I’m going to do this up until the beginning of next year, and I’m going to put the money towards my first book haul of 2020. Which means if I hit my target of 50 books, I will have 100 euro to start my new year off in literary style.
I’ll be reviewing all of the books that I read this year on this blog, so you can keep track of my challenge with me.
Wish me luck!
