I can’t believe another month has already passed! It feels like only a few days ago that I was compiling my February wrap up. I’m quite happy with the books I read this month, I got through a good few of the books on my Goodreads list. I would have liked to add a few more to the list but oh well, there’s always April!

Meet Me On The Beach – Hilary Boyd –  When ‘pillar of the community’ Harry dies suddenly, his long suffering wife Karen must learn how to live without her husband – and without his alcoholism, and abuse. With the help of married vicar William, she begins to get over Harry’s death, and find her way in her new life.

Attachments – Rainbow Rowell –  Lincoln is the poor unfortunate soul who is tasked with policing the emails and internet usage of his colleagues, a thankless job that he is less than eager to do – until he comes across the emails between Beth and Jennifer, two office friends who tell all about their personal lives, and Lincoln can’t help but be sucked in. When he finds himself falling for the faceless Beth, he makes it his mission to get to know her in reality.

The Keeper Of Lost Things – Ruth Hogan – Retired author Anthony Peardew has one mission in life – reunite all of the lost trinkets he has found throughout his life to their true owners. That mission is passed on to his devoted assistant and friend, Laura, when he passes away. With the help of the grumpy gardener and her young neighbour, they begin to find the owners of the lost things, and find themselves some priceless things along the way!

Lisette’s List – Susan Vreeland – Lisette finds herself leaving her beloved Paris when her husband’s grandfather takes ill and needs their care. When war and illness take her men away from her, she must learn how to fend for herself in her new and unforgiving surroundings. Finding herself immersed in the worlds of the paintings that her husband’s grandfather so lovingly collected over the years, she learns more about art, and herself, than she ever thought possible.

This Is Going To Hurt – Adam Kay – A junior doctor’s true account of life in the hospital wards of NHS England. Full of hilarious anecdotes and heartbreaking tales, Adam Kay gives a glaringly honest account of just what it is like to be a doctor today.

The Ghost Orchid – Carol Goodman – Ellis Brooks, an aspiring author, has arrived at Bosco, a beautiful but crumbling, abandoned mansion surrounded by what used to be glorious gardens, to work on her debut novel, a story about a medium that visited Bosco more than a century ago, and the tragic circumstances that ended her visit. The ghosts of the past aren’t happy to stay there however, and eerie events begin to unfold the deeper Ellis gets into her story.

The Seven Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle – Stuart Turton –  Every night at 11pm, Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered, by a mystery killer. Aiden Bishop is tasked with finding out who exactly is behind the murders. The one problem? Every morning the day is reset, with Aiden waking up in the body of a different party guest each time. He must use the strengths of each host to piece together the mystery and report his findings, in order to escape Blackheath and the murders that happened there before he runs out of hosts, or risk being stuck there forever.

Blood Orange – Harriet Tyce – On paper, Alison has it all – a great job as a lawyer, a devoted husband and an adorable daughter. Underneath the surface though, things are cracking – she’s drinking too much, spending too much time at work, and things aren’t working out in her marriage. When she gets her first murder case, she must try and figure out why her client murdered her husband, and how she can clear her name despite her pleading guilty. She must try to do this, and balance her home life and her affair with her work colleague without anyone figuring it out.
