So, any of you who use the Goodreads site or app know that there is a section that allows you mark books as books that you ‘want to read’, as a way of keeping track of titles that interest you. Mine was getting a little out of hand, so I decided that I would set myself a little challenge to try and clear my ‘want to read’ shelf by the end of this year.

I’ve since requested as many books at time as I’m allowed to from my local library, to help me get through the list. A lot of them aren’t new releases, they may not be particularly well known, they’re just books that caught my eye, and that I thought seemed interesting.

So, the books on that list are:

  • Little Face – Sophie Hannah (Completed)
  • Girls Burn Brighter – Shobha Rao (Completed)
  • Attachments – Rainbow Rowell (Completed)
  • The Ghost Orchid – Carol Goodman
  • Lisette’s List – Susan Vreeland (Completed)
  • A God In Ruins – Kate Atkinson
  • The Keeper of Lost Things – Ruth Hogan (Completed)
  • Nine Perfect Strangers – Liane Moriarty
  • The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle – Stuart Turton
  • The Tattooist of Auschwitz – Heather Morris
  • The Clockmaker’s Daughter – Kate Morton
  • Where The Crawdads Sing – Delia Owens
  • The Hate U Give – Angie Thomas
  • All The Light We Cannot See – Anthony Doerr
  • The Nightingale – Kristin Hannah
  • The Ocean At The End Of The Lane – Neil Gaiman
  • Little Fires Everwhere – Celeste Ng
  • Eleanor & Park – Rainbow Rowell
  • All The Bright Places – Jennifer Niven
  • Educated – Tara Westover
  • Becoming – Michelle Obama
  • In Pieces – Sally Field
  • This Is Me : Loving The Person You Are Today – Chrissy Metz
  • A River In Darkness – Masaji Ishikawa
  • Brave – Rose McGowan
  • Robin – Dave Itzkoff
  • All The Little Lights – Jamie McGuire

So, quite a varied list there, hopefully I manage to get through most, if not all of these this year. Have you read many of these titles?
